Wyoming has become the second state to offer online-only legal sports betting in the US. After Tennessee, Wyoming sports betting joins the fold of states without a commercial casino. The Cowboy State has four tribal casinos, which are also eligible to offer sports betting if desired.
The Wyoming Gaming Commission adopted its sports betting rules in August 2021. Then on September 1st, DraftKings and FanDuel was launched into the market and started offering sports betting in Wyoming.

Wyoming online sports betting is certainly on the rise. Some operators are already live, while others should become available soon. Whatever the case is, there is no doubt that people will enjoy more Wyoming sports betting in times to come.
DraftKings
DraftKings was one of the first operators to secure a position in the Wyoming sports betting scene. They are already known as a secure and reliable operator that offers action on many sports markets.
DraftKings has launched an appealing deposit bonus offer to capture the attention of new players.
Barstool
Barstool is an operator making quick strides to become a part of the Wyoming sports betting family. It is quite understandable why they are racing to do so, as entering an opulent market like Wyoming will be quite rewarding for them. If they are to do everything successfully, they should create a combination of attractive betting markets and add a similar experience to the mix.
BetMGM
BetMGM was among the first to enter the online sports betting Wyoming scene. The Cowboy State became the 14th state where BetMGM’s digital sports betting platform became accessible to bettors. Users can place bets and make the same requests on the app as they would on the desktop version.
In addition, new customers with BetMGM Sign Up Bonus can claim a bonus first bet which they can receive upon registering and fulfilling all the bonus requirements.
FanDuel
FanDuel is another brand that is anticipated to join the online sports betting Wyoming. They are widely popular through their fantasy sports monocle, but their sportsbook offer is not too shabby either. With a spectacular mix of sports betting markets combined with a responsive platform and variety of promos, it is a joy to have an operator like FanDuel as an option.
Be on the lookout for their bonus offer for new players.
Legal Sports Betting in WY
Sports betting became legal in Wyoming after Gov. Mark Gordon signed the sports betting House Bill 133 and made it into law. Besides sports betting, the bill allows for mobile wagering too. The Cowboy State also became the first state to enable wagering licences to permit cryptocurrencies as deposits. However, each licence can decide on it individually.
It had a rough start after two failed attempts in 2020 and 2021 when the House voted against moving HB 133. A day after, they reconvened and devised 32-4, which included a few amendments, and it was immediately passed both in the Senate and by the Governor.
The biggest hurdle for Wyoming sports betting to pass was that if it involved just the slight element of luck, it was considered gambling, thus illegal. The only exceptions to the rule were charitable gambling and some forms of social gambling. But the first step towards legalization was in 2018 when SCOTUS ruled in favor of New Jersey’s appeal. It allowed each state to determine their own laws and decide whether to make them legal or not.
