What’s PA Lottery Powerball?
You’ve probably already heard about the Powerball game because it is being played twice each week all around the world. However, the game became available in Pennsylvania in 2002 as well.
The PA Lottery Powerball is essentially a straightforward and enjoyable lottery game in which the goal is to pick 5 out of 69 numbers, hoping that at least one, but hopefully all five, will be drawn. Of course, there’s a lot more to it, but we’ll explain everything in detail later in this guide.
You have 1 in 38.32 chances of doubling the investment or at least getting back what you paid for one game. Even though your chances of winning the PA Lottery Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,202,338 you might as well give it a shot as all it takes is $3 investment.
How to Play PA Lottery Powerball?
First of all, you need to know that you must be at least 18 years old to participate in the drawing. Other than that, there aren’t any other restrictions or requirements as you can buy the ticket even if you are not living in Pennsylvania or the United States at all.
When you get the payslip, you’ll see five separate panels. Each one contains two brackets of numbers. The upper one has numbers 1 through 69, while the lower one spans from 1 to 26.
Picking 5 out of 69 is required and will cost you $2. If you want to get the chance to win the jackpot and increase your overall odds of winning any prize, you might as well pay one more dollar and select one out of the 26 numbers from the bottom, which are the Powerball numbers.
Your prize can be multiplied by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 if your chosen multiplier matches the drawn one. However, this option will cost you an additional dollar.
There are two drawings each week, and you can always buy in advance, up to 13 weeks. Make sure to check the ticket right after receiving it, as any mistakes can only be fixed on the spot. All buy-ins must be made before 10 p.m on the PA Lottery Powerball drawing day.

Take your time to celebrate after winning a prize, but once you settle down, make sure to follow these steps in order to get your money.
Where and How to Check?
Even if you watched the drawing live on TV, it is a good idea to check whether your numbers are indeed matching the drawn ones, just in case. You can do so on the official PA Lottery Powerball website.
One interesting fact is that you can check if your combination has ever been drawn in the past, beginning from the first PA Lottery Powerball drawing back in 2002.
How to Claim Your Prize?
In case you won the jackpot, or even the second best prize sometimes, you’ll have to go to Middletown and visit PA Lottery’s headquarters.
Only the Lottery can pay you prizes higher than $2,500. They do so right after you’ve mailed them a ticket with your signature and a completed Claim Form.
A Claim Form is also required if your prizes exceed the $600 limit. However, you can get the money right at the retailer. In case they do not have the cash, money order or checks, be kind to try at another retailer nearby. If that doesn’t go as planned, claim your prize via email.
