Texas Online Horse Betting

Horse racing has been a part of the Texan culture for many years. The state is home to some great horse racing tracks where live wagers can be placed. Even though there are some super options for Texas horse betting at land venues, you will not find any online horse racing sites operating within the state. Texas prohibits most forms of online wagering, so if you are looking to bet online, you will have to check out sites operating in other states or countries.

Over the years, Texas noted a decrease in attendance, and in 2011, the Texas Racing Act was amended, making online horse betting illegal. Prior to that time, residents were able to use Texas horse betting sites to place wagers on horse races around the country, but this is no longer the case.

Texas Horse Betting Rules

If you visit any of the operational horse tracks in the state, you will legally be able to place wagers on races and enjoy payouts. However, if you are looking to engage in any form of online betting, there are no options in the state. Texas does not offer legal online or off-track betting services. You will find that some betting sites will accept residents from the state, but overall, Texas frowns upon any form of online gambling and wagering.

There are no plans to legalize online Texas horse betting in the near future, so you will not find sites emerging or the offering of any horse betting apps.

Texas Horse Racing Tracks

If you are looking to enjoy a day at the races, there are a few operating horse racing tracks in the state. These are located around Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston. Even though horse racing is popular in the state, these tracks are not easily accessible to all residents since they are all located in this small triangle of cities.
